Case Study: PwC 2011
PriceWaterhouseCoopers is the worlds biggest financial services company, with 160,000 employees in over 100 countries.
When PwC launched their major rebrand in September 2010, an integral part of the new visual identity was a natural, contemporary style of photography, which needed to feel consistent across a wide range urban and business landscapes, and crucially, portrait shots.
The Asian cluster of PwC companies were particularly hungry for new images, and commissioned John to shoot a library of 200 images in Shanghai, Hong Kong and Singapore.
The brief for the 3 location shoot was to create a library of images in the brand style, that showed real business at work, and real people in shots that represented genuine business relationships.
In a tightly managed shoot, John shot the images in the 3 locations over two weeks, always using PwC employees and real life locations in natural light to acheive the look and feel.
The images here were delivered on time and budget to the delight of the Marketing and Communications departments in Asia, who now use them on a daily basis when producing internal and external reports, advertising and communications materials.
